The service was in Barrington, so the location was perfect for where we needed to be since there are hardly any good hotels nearby and the price was amazing for how nice and big this house is. My family and I couldn't have been more pleased with this experience and the comfort of the home. My sister's flight ended up getting delayed by 2 hours, pushing us back from when I though we would originally arrive at the house and the co-owner, Ben, patiently waited for us - greeting us with a warm welcome and tour of the house, showing us the space and how to turn on the fireplace, etc. Bob even left us with a fridge full of eggs, yogurt, juice, coffee cake, and more. They even went above and beyond to leave us a very nice bottle of wine with a thoughtful card for our family. The couch was massive and comfortable for us to sit together, plenty of space, extremely clean with plenty of new towels in the bathrooms. We even loved the electronic trash can, just wave your hand and it opened and closes on its own without having to ever touch it! Check out was simple and no hassle at all. I could go on and on! This was by far the best Airbnb experience we've ever had and we can't say thank you enough!!

The Perryville corridor and close proximity to I-90 (5 minutes) allow us to get around town and to more distant locations without problems. - Just 5 minutes from the new Mercy-Jaevon Bea Hospital. - Many restaurants are close by for when one wants to eat out. - The nearby Perryville Bike Path allows one to bike around town and even to the beautiful Rock Hut State park. When our family rides our bikes, we get on the Path in a couple of minutes from our home. - The Northeast Branch YMCA with pool is minutes away by car and the Peak Fitness Center Gym is also just down the road. We ride our bikes past it on the way to the Park. - Carlson Ice Arena is less than 1 mile away if one feels the desire to ice skate. - The Sportscore Soccer Park is less than 2 miles drive, as is the Rockford Rivets Minor League Baseball team and stadium. It is a great place to take in a game of good baseball at a reasonable price during the summer. - The Rockford Ice Hogs (Chicago Blackhawks Ice Hockey Affiliates) play downtown during Hockey season- a great time for the family. - Rockford Speedway is 4.1 miles close. - If one needs to get out of town, a quick trip to the tollway leads to Madison in one hour, Lake Geneva in one hour, and Chicago in 90 minutes (though it is whispered that one driver made it from Lake Shore Drive in Chicago to Rockford in one hour one quiet night...). In less than ten minutes, one can be driving around the scenic countryside that surrounds Rockford, Illinois. - Groceries are easy to get as the Woodman's Shopping Center is right down the block, and about one mile beyond that is the Meijer's Store. The apartment was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The sheets were soft, the towels were both copious and fluffy. Dorit also provided tea and coffee supplies and some snacks which was a much appreciated treat after a long days travel. The apartment is quite private, and while I am sure that Dorit is quite lovely, we did not interact with her directly. She was very responsive and helpful over text and email, so I am certain we could have sought her out should we have needed anything. It was a lovely stay and the apartment was exactly what we were looking for this trip.
